Jose Armendariz, 4/08: "I'm a sophomore, Petroleum Engineering major at the University of Oklahoma. This past year I was in the Pride of Oklahoma, the university marching band, and I was able to go to NYC for the Macy's Day Parade. Josh Arnold: News from Cortny Tomlinson (SOA '05) indicate they are planning a wedding for February 2009!

 

Nate Bachofsky: "I am a freshman at Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music in Berea, OH, which is about twenty minutes from Downtown Cleveland, OH, and I love it. I am a Music Education major and a member of the top choir here at BW called "College Choir." I am also starting an internship with "The Baldwin-Wallace Honors Chorale," which consists of two choirs made up of young people in the greater Cleveland area. One choir is grades 4-8 and the other 9-12."

Matthew Cotty, 5-08: "Hey all! I am at the Master's College now and am almost done with my first year. I picked up handbells and am in the top group for handbells at the college. It's so much fun. A lot has happened in the past 3 years since the trip, but it's been a great learning experience. But funny thing is now, I'm dating another member from the trip. Shauna Cruse: "Hello all.., I wanted to try and get in touch with everyone that I could from the tour. It was an amazing oppurtunity for me and I really miss all the friends that I made along the way....I think about all of you so often. Matt Greene, 7-11: Toured in 2006. "Graduated from the United States Military Academy Prep School and is now a 1st Class (Senior) Cadet and will graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Information Assurance. I have graduated from Air Assault School and Combative Level 1 and 2 training. I am the Cadet Band Sergeant Major and Drum Captain ,I also practice with the Hell Cats Drum and Bugle Corps under the command of SGM Eric Sheffler featuring SSG Jeff Prosperie, SSG William Calohan, SSG William Cuthbert and SSG Andrew Porter." Ryan Karsner, 11/10: Ryan graduated from The George Washington University in 2009 with a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience. He is in his second year of medical school at GWU. He leads an acapella group and works at a DC clinic. He just returned from Argentina where he worked in a clinic in Buenos Aires. Previous: Sang with The University Singers at GWU; . Ryan toured in 2006 and was one of our featured vocal soloists for the 2006 tour! He performed (in Italian), "Time to say Goodbye" as a duet. karsner@gwmail.gwu.edu.

 

Jade Juno Karrillo, 9/08: "Well, I have decided that I have no idea what i'm going to do in life and i'm taking a year off now. But if anything, I am moving across the country to Florida to live with my mother. :) Life has been going pretty fantastic. Christian Stecher (from the Blue Bus) and I have been dating for more than half a year now. It's funny how these things work out, ya know? Other than that, I'm thinking working with kids would be something that I'll go into with music of some sort a long the way and of course traveling too.

Bryan J Melerski, 7/11 "Hey everyone! I am moving to Alabama and will be teaching music at Maxwell AFB Elementary School in Montgomery. Previous info: I am finishing up my junior year at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA. I am a music education major with a concentration in voice. Gillian Munsayac, 11/08: - update: "I am now a sophomore at NYU-Tisch School of the Arts - CAP 21 (musical theater). My ATT radio commercial is still on air until the middle of 2009 - she is the "kid" in it. I will also be on the cover of Belinda Acosta's upcoming book "My Daughter and her 15th Birthday" as the daughter, due out this month . I am doing a lot of shows at NYU, and I will be part of this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I was selected, along with a few NYU-Cap 21 students, to accompany Andy William's float. We will be singing and dancing. Hope everything is well with you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Previous: "I'm currently a senior and just got accepted (early decision) to NYU-Tisch School of the Arts CAP 21 for musical theater. Recently performed at NYS AllState Conference in Rochester where I was a soloist,and will be in All-Eastern Honors Choir in Connecticut in March 2007."

 

Alexia Quintero: Was in Macy's Day Parade as drum major for her high school fall 2005. Toured in 2006 with SOA.

 

Connor Patterson: I just won third place in the lower college freshmen male division of the National Association of Teachers of singing for the Pennsylvania Chapter. Travis Peterman, 7/11 : Hope everyone is doing well! I've been working at UPS for almost 4 years now, along with various other odd jobs. After SOA I focused mainly on the marching aspect of music- I've played snare in DCA in 2009 with the Reading Buccaneers, DCI in 2010 with the Blue Stars, and in WGI with United Percussion (09,10) and Rhythm X (11, aging out next year). I hope to go to the Bon Voyage concert this year for the first time since 2006. tlpeterman@gmail.com

Steven Stuts: Qualified and was a finalist in the National Foundation for Advencement in the Arts. Steve is to appeared on "One Life to Live" in 2006. He is now studying in Florida.

 

Cortny Tomlinson, 8/08: "Hey everyone. Just thought that I would stop by and give you all some great news. Not only did I have some of the best days of my life, but I met a guy that is soon to be forever in my life. Joshua Arnold and I are getting married. Mark Zaiger, 2-09:"I just graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where I majored in Sport Management with a minor in music performance. I played the tuba in the Minuteman Marching Band where I was also the tuba web site webmaster. Unfortunately, my computer skills and creativity are far inferior to the great Terri Barr, who does a great job with the SOA web site :). Since the farewell dinner, I have traveled to the Carolinas, Ohio, Connecticut, California and Arkansas to visit other SOA-ers. I just moved to New Jersey, where I am getting a start in the sports industry working for a minor league affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. zangzigger@aol.com
